Alice A. Loveys, M.D.
Dr. Loveys has been practicing pediatrics since 1994. She was born and raised in Vestal, NY (outside of Binghamton) and moved to the Rochester area to attend college and play soccer at the University of Rochester. She has lived in the Rochester area ever since. Dr. Loveys attended the University of Rochester Medical School and completed her internship and residency at Strong Children's Hospital. She was Chief Resident at Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Loveys is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Her area of special interest includes medical informatics. She is on several national councils and local committees on information technology and actively evaluates new technologies to improve medical care for patients. Dr. Loveys lives in Pittsford and has three children of her own ("my independent studies").
Janet Cranshaw, M.D.
Dr. Cranshaw has been practicing pediatrics since 1991. Originally from Massachusetts, she attended medical school and completed her pediatric training and chief residency in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Cranshaw is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She moved to the Rochester area in 2001 with her husband and two children, Laura and David. They enjoy camping, exploring local attractions and playing games of all kinds. Dr. Cranshaw's previous work and hobbies include geology, juggling, unicycling and woodworking.
Assunta (Susie) Strang, M.D.
Dr. Strang has been practicing pediatrics since 1988. She was raised outside of San Diego, CA and attended the University of California at San Diego for her undergraduate degree. She attended medical school in Chicago at Northwestern University Medical School and then completed her internship, residency and chief residency at Harbor - UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Strang is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She and her husband moved to the Rochester area in 1995. They have four teenage children and enjoy travel, sports and music.
Paul Maxwell, RN, MS, FNP
Paul was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He attended Niagara University and entered the US Army as a nurse. After several assignments, Paul and his wife Wanda, also an RN, left active duty and settled near Philadelphia where he worked with the Philadelphia Fire Department EMS program, was clinical coordinator of an urban emergency department, and then director of critical care for a multi-state critical care transport program. In 1993, they relocated with their three children to Rochester and now live in Brighton. Paul completed his Family Nurse Practitioner program at St. John Fisher, and has over 27 years of experience in different pre-hospital, critical care, emergency department, and collegiate health settings. He served for 16 years as an aeromedical evacuation flight nurse with the Air Force Reserve before retiring in 2005 as Chief Flight Nurse of his squadron.
Until recently, Paul was also a per diem Nurse Practitioner at the URMC/Strong Hospital Emergency Department. He currently works full time with Strong Occupational and Environmental Medicine which includes part time coverage of the student health center at Nazareth College. He also continues providing part time coverage here at Pediatrics at the Basin. His hobbies include sailboat racing and trying to keep up with his granddaughter.
